As I look back on the most awesome accomplishments of my life, I see a common thread — I had to step into a bolder, braver version of me.

I had to become.

But it wasn’t quite that simple. To become who you are meant to be, you have to unbecome who you have been. To reach new heights, you have to let go of the limits that have been holding you down. To learn and grow, you have to be willing to unlearn all the things that keep you small.

The process is ever unfolding within us as individuals and as a collective. To unite threads into a tapestry, they must first each be unraveled.

This undoing and untangling is hard and painful but it is also brave and necessary. We cannot hold onto the old and expect something new. We cannot reach our vast potential while still clinging to our smallness.

May we continue to unbecome, unlimit, unlearn, and unravel.
