Do you experience tightness, discomfort, or stuckness in your hips and lower back that doesn’t seem to go away? The cumulative effects of your posture and the repetitive motions of life and physical activity can result in tension, achiness, and restriction in these areas that may not be improved by simply stretching your muscles. It’s time for a new approach.

In this workshop, you’ll learn simple self-massage techniques that target the trigger points of pain and common areas of tightness to promote a greater sense of ease in your hips and lower back.

We’ll use myofascial release balls to facilitate deep tissue release, improve range of motion, restore tissue pliability and resilience, improve circulation and tissue hydration, prevent injury, and help stimulate your body’s own natural healing and repair processes to aid in muscle recovery and efficient muscle function.

You can expect to leave this workshop with improved awareness and insight about your body and its very specific needs. You’ll learn simple and effective techniques that you can do in just minutes per day to help ease tightness in your hips and lower back and maintain your body’s optimal range of motion and function.

This practice when done consistently can benefit everyone and is especially beneficial for people who engage in repetitive motion sports (such as running or cycling), people who spend a lot of time sitting, and anyone who feels chronically tight in the hips.

Myofascial release balls will be available for your use during the workshop. No prior experience with yoga or myofascial release is required.
